Best pedal tuner?

+1 for the Korg DT-10. Got it at $117 a month ago, i think no more stock now (June06), next shipment may be in Aug06. Sale price in Dec05 is $100. One thing i like is its sensitivity. The centre green LED lights up bright when you nail the pitch you're tunning to. I like the aluminium casing, got sick of the BOSS shell... just my personal preference. Recommended. Hmm, wouldn't need anything better. Just a tuner afterall, as long as it does the job right.

It's just tuning la. Even strobo is not 100% in tune. It just happens to be a more accurate tuner than the TU2 or DT10. Most important is that it does the job to keep you relatively in tune. Keep this in mind that the guitar is an instrument will never really be in tune due to its inherent design.

FYI, I do use a Strobostomp.

Namle: Petrucci uses TU2 I think. At least that was what I saw in the DT concert earlier this ear.

nah i dont think he uses TU2

may be he does

but in one of his gig i cant remember which theres a youtube video that shows his stuffs

his tuner was like a longs strip like that

looks very much interesting to me if theres such one around can be purchased i will grab because can save space

cheap, good and solid with nice big led for on stage tuing, best buy now is the dt10.
if you want tb go to ark or just use an a/b box to switch to tuner or main signal chain. No issues. :D

Long strip tuner? Reminds me of the Boss TU12 series... which I have.

If you intend to get one, do so during the sale.. otherwise, its like what, $120?

Anyway, its a good tuner, accurate (has a needle, rather than LEDs), though, its fragile (good thing you don't step on it) and on a totally dark stage, it might be hard to see the needle when standing.

And you NEEEEEEEED a looper or a/b switch it... it sucks tone like... a horrid tone sucker monster.

kabish. do NOT generalize ya? 8)

I didn't generalise simply by using 'most of the time'. I didn't make a sweeping statement as you suggested. It would be cool though if you could find some strobostomp users who genuinely possesed true relative or perfect pitch, i.e people who can transcribe quickly without using their instrument as a reference. Hope I cleared the misunderstanding, cheers

no worries man (:

That is youtube mah. I was there in the DT gig first row. Directly infront of JP.

Videos can take more than a month to produce, his pedalboard may have changed between then 8) not aiming at anybody here though, since I don't know the actual answer. That being said, the one in the video looks like an LU10.
