Unknown and Undiscovered Guitarist..........'AMAT'
Yeah....His name is "Amat" , but fortunately he was undiscoverd after the 2nd Yamaha Battle of Guitarist, could not recalled the Year may be mid 80's , he and his guitar "Kontot" Stienberger which I think he got it from the US mana a this kind of guitar back then . During that time few best known guitarist was still young like Addy Cradle ,Paul Dass and Rosli Mansur ( Not In the Competition ) i think Rosli works in Yamaha and help to organised the competition . If any of u are there u will realised he has much talent to offer than any of Singapore guitarist could offer back then , I was his friend and the latest heard from him he has "gantung" his guitar so sayang, I will try to load the video recording on youtube under Amat,Singapore,Melayu,Jam Singapore and Guitar "Tag". The tape is fungus and in need to clean but "patient" and u will see for yourself . It is priceless to see such talent this guitarist can do, while other GUITARIST with their Gilbert ,EVH,Steve Vai and Mamlsteen copy :- shreding sampai mabuk . This Guy do his own TECHNICAL STUFF WHICH NONE OF US HAVE HEARD OF BACK THEN . IF HE IS STILL AROUND , THE GUITAR SCENE IN SINGAPORE WILL BE DIFFERENT .He is just AMAZING , sadly he retired soon.......without being discovered

yes, i've seen him play before. i think he used to lived at bishan a nong nong time ago. fantastic with tap harmonics. 2nd yamaha battle of guitarist was in 1991. Paul Das was the judge. Addy was also in the competition but he did not get a placing.
