Hey Immortal,
I've checked out a couple of stringing videos at first and I had little ideas about what they were doing at first until I checked out Justin's videos. I've got to say his a really good teacher in YouTube I guess. I think I'll follow his lessons when I stringed my guitar.
Anyway guys, I was thinking of getting a cheap acoustic guitar to start as well, since my classical guitar might be returned to my sis after I stringed it. Just wondering what might be some of the recommendations that you guys might have for a beginner guitar? Preferably around the range of S$200-S$300?

i got my first acoustic guitar just today at park lane mall.
its a black acoustic guitar, Maestro SA-1.
costed me $235, includes bag,tuner,picks and guitar.
and a additional $15 for 4 lessons on the basic.

@daguero : Maestro has decent guitars at that price range. U can also take a look at Takamine guitar at Davis.
Things to take note are the wood types. I'd recommend getting a solid top guitar cos they sound better and is good for the long run but they are priced a little more.
Another thing is the action (disance between string and fretboard) of the guitar. Most guitars in ur budget would already have low action. High action means u have to press down harder and will affect ur practice.
and finally the shape of a guitar. cutaway or no cutaway. Dreadnaught or grand auditorium size.
Most importantly is u like the overall feel and look(some may say is unimportant but i feel that it is). If u like the guitar chances are u will practice more.

3 notes, play them 1 at a time. with your left hand right hand u play the melody both hands tap the notes not pick or strum

call me when u reach city hall
index use the tip to fret,the flat part to mute high 3 strings.ring finger fret 2 strings.
