bang for buck pedals

I find the digidelay an excellent bang for buck delay....but if subtleness is what TS is looking for i think its out of the question. I find the Digidelay's sound very cutting, its perfect for slicing through a complete band mix. It offers tap tempo and 7 delay modes though, so its quite value for money for such a cheap delay.

The tape delay / analog delay sim mode on the Digidelay is really good, sits well as an "atmospheric" delay for thickening lead lines etc if you don't want the "cutting through" repeats. In that sense, the Digidelay is really versatile as well.

And yeah i guess everyone's opinion of warmth etc is different...i totally couldn't bond with the Guyatone. I do agree it reminded me somewhat of the DD-2 / DD-3 - both which I've never really bonded too much with either! for some reason i prefer the Digidelay's regular digital delay mode much more to the Boss ones...no accounting for personal taste i guess!

Agree that the Barber LTD sounds great, one of the nicest medium gain ODs around.

The hardwire DL-8 has caught my interest as of late. True bypass and the demos by PGS sounds pretty good, even better than the DD7 im using now.

Unfortunately when i emailed Swee Lee for their price after discount for it, i was immediately put off by their obscene asking price.

anyone tried vox wah before? aby opinions? or is dunlop ones still the best?

THE best Wah I've tried, after the Vox and Dunlop ones (this one kicked my Hendrix Wah right off the board) is the Ernie Ball Wah. No joke. This thing is worth a try. It's got a nice sweep, good tone control, LED light to let you know if it's on or not (this is damn useful, I tell you), and is SUPER easy to activate.

I agree. It's like having so many delays rolled into one. Not too harsh. Can be controlled. But I seriously need to go learn how to use the loop mode man...

^there are just different crybabys like the GCB-95 and 535Q, then there's signature models like the buddy guy and slash and dimebag ones.

guys, shld i consider the orange microcrush? its only 80; dont think i have cash to spare for a microcube or vox da5.. incidentally, what are the cost of these 2 now? last time i check, the latter seems to hit 200!

hey bro.. where to buy, and how much? :D

To the bro who supplied the link to the sound clip for the demo of the Danelectro Black Coffee, thanks! It sounds great man.

No problem. It was a fun toy when I had it. Rather amusing.

However, just note that... for the Black Coffee... it DOES sound tiny. Has that honk to it (weird) and its just... tiny sounding. Was really more of a toy than anything to be taken seriously, really.

Oh, here's another clip I did of the Black Coffee.

^ Thanks again! a toy eh... Hmm... I see. I once had the Pastrami Overdrive, wasn't really good, but then again i paid only $30+ for it back then.. I think the Black Coffee sounds better, and is more expensive, but since you've classified it as a toy... Nono, its ok... Sometimes its better to hear opinions as well, besides trying it out for yourself and seeing if it suits. :D

don't mean to hijack your track digimon, you mentioned the Danelectro Honeytone... where did you see this in Singapore? looks awesome!

no no not at all! by all means! i saw it on an ebay ad for BYLEFT store in parklane mall... its near plaza singapura, just need to ask for directions for abit! the tone on the utube videos sound sweet! then again.. cant say much for the overdrive setting..

I think to me its important cos i dont want to lug a od pedal along if i go out with it;

Thks bro! I been to ByLeft before, very nice owners... so which little amps are you leaning towards getting? I just need one to practise in bedroom without waking everyone up with my 20w loud amp..
