bad sellers

gerald: y u keep wanting tis thread to be locked? i can see many lamer topics out there? tis is a forum right? i don't hav the right to express my views? if u don't like it don't view it. same ideology as they said earlier. redundant.

3notesAbar: "Should Soft start a RRP-guide for local items?"

I think it's a good idea.

I know there are serveral threads where SOFTies had contributed price info e.g. Sub's reviews will include the Retail Price. The "where to get what" thread has some price info. The "pedal board pictures", "gallery 200x" threads all have some price info there. But they're kind of here and there. It will be great if there's a sticky thread on Retail Prices, one for each guitar, bass, drums, keyboard category. As soon as a SOFTie buys a gear, he can just post the price. A consolidated view. Something like the SimLimSquare price list. wah biang, solid.

but horh, anyone has any idea how to do it?
I don't mind helping. Sub, you reading this? 8)
most importantly, is there any legal implications?
of course, such price guide must disclaim the necessary things lah, since none of us here represent the shops.

soft.com.sg for the local music shops will then become like the hardwarezone.com for SimLimSquare 8O

riff: y compare vintage axes ? u hav obviously missed my point.

I think he totally got your point there, vintage just a nicer term for old, he could have won the 1957 strat back then and if we use your example, the price would have depreciated to zero by now. If the guy won it at a lucky draw, kept the thing in mint condition, i don't see why he shouldn't be able to charge near retail price for the thing? Its a free world after all.

After all, we do see people who bought "vintage" guitars and basses for like USD250 back then selling it now for nearly USD5,000. How i'd love for someone to give me a vintage jazz bass for free though! Any takers? :P

hey dude, u dun have to insult me if u dun agree. that show how much maturity you have in your head.

My point is your point is pointless. I presumed u still dun get it.

Drumnoob, maybe we fail to see the good things at times. I do that alot! But I know a few bassplayers who sell their stuff dirt cheap on classifieds. To me, they overshadow the occasional overpriced-item post. I see this alot especially in effects modules, but I'd stand corrected anytime. Regardless, We do give to our friends right? Right?? :?

the artist grumbled about the lack of understanding of real art

the metallist cant wait to stomp on the fake fans of metale

the extreme shredder/technicalist ponder about the speed of slowness

the minority raise against the rise and richer majority

some like to think why no one pay the bands, from metale forum to diy hardcore forum to this to that

and why do i worry about the px of used stuff when i know i shud have done my research prior to buying

and so, the pencilcase closes, not after collecting the monthly suscription of either cokelat, strawberry or normal flavour milk
bye bye

+1 to riff. you seem like you signed up just to rant dude. chill. there are many lame topics out there, but by far, yours is the most active isn't it?

:o pai seh, when i said con-man i meant the person who "cheats your money" which in your case would be your "businessman" or whatever you call it.

what do u guys think of people bringing in brand new gears at cheaper rates from overseas and charging them a fee for it. ,.

like what neuro said.
If you were to buy locally it would be 700+
now he is selling at $600+ it's really a bargain.

either u make use of it or u buy locally at a higher price.
UNLESS he is selling at $800+ then that would be a reason to whine about.

the question is, does he need the trouble to do so much just to earn our money? is he being considerate that way? .

again my point is there.
if he is selling at market 2nd hand price then isn't it fine?
he took the effort to queue for HOURS to buy something.

and the buyer lays his ass at home and wants to benefits from the sales too?
IF the buyer don't go to the sale he would have to buy the product at 1st hand price. or go to a second hand price.

Sale or not sale. doesnt matter.
Who doesnt wish to have more cash on hand for other gears?
you happy with the price, you buy. Not happy look for other sellers.
Simple.

Then we shall all now wait for buyers from sweelee sales to sell at 70% discount. Pls annouce that you are selling at 70% so that we can all queue up and raid your house.

redjackal: u never +1 to me.. now i dunnoe how much points i got

back to the topic..

I dunno what musician mates or sellers or God knows what...if he gets me my gear at a cheaper rate than I can find it, then I am buying from him.

If the dude did the work to get something cheap and then sells it at a slightly higher rate ( but stil cheaper than market rate) to those who want it but dun want to go through the trouble for that cheap sale, good for both parties.

Lastly, if you don't like it, or the idea don''t buy it.

drumnoob: i tink Ken pretty much sums up what i wanna say..

wraith: i was the one who used vintage. i was just using a guitar as a example. just like i am trying to giv an example of a machine depreciating. but he suddenly compare antiques. wth? got link?

PatheinRaindropMoe: maybe i should intro u to delphi forum poem king mr swingstar46.

geraldkoh: mine is the most active and yet u wanna close it.

redjackal: he is doing u a favour as a FRIEND. not to mention about people selling the same price as retail. so u tink as a friend it is ethical for him to treat u like a customer or friend?

redjackal: if sweelee ever has a 70% storewide discount, i guess our mr trolley man will be the first again. don't dream of getting any leftover tis time. :D

theblueark: totally no link? if i win toto so? i really get no link here. u mean i win toto i must giv up my winnings? my stand in this thread is sellers must put consideration in for their offers. wtf?

neuro182: ya i know. it has always been the case of willing buyers and sellers wat. i just trying to comment and remind people about the gd "karma" they can pass around.

haha drumnoob very busy man.. muz read all our replies & answer 1 by 1.. kudos..
