This thread is getting nowhere and doesn't contribute any further.

We know who is foul-mouthed, we know who's right and who's wrong.

Moderators, I appeal you guys to just lock the thread up.

so much anger in changbeer. hmmm... hope you can relax and be nicer to fellow members.

thanks to thread starter for bringing up this issue. it is good to have feedbacks on buyers/sellers you encounter on the SOFT classified Ad, this way, we all will learn how to trade better.

Only to fellow members? haha.

On a serious note, if a potential buyer seems to be wasting time, just ignore la. If they make the effort to call instead of SMS, i think i'd be more obliged to answer 'noob' queries than via a series of SMS'es. So far I've only been stood up once when a person asked to meet outside to buy my stuff. But i was cool cos i scheduled a meeting at the same time with my friends :)

to all, i think many of us are mostly nice chap being diplomatic....

but honestly, reading this whole threat:

changbeer : YOU ARE WRONG. simple. if you want to sell something and PROVIDE your contact, then you need to answer queries. if you want people to go to the shop and see, why didn't you write in your ad?? are you that stupid? from your replies, you probably are since you are quite limited in your vocabulary. but thanks for your entertaining us tho... you are a real joke.

to the other sellers: if you think there are any questions can be stupid in nature, i hope you are really just selling on a freelance basis, i.e your personal stuff. coz this is really not the right attitude and approach. if you want to increase your probability of selling, then answer queries.

to VineOfLife : hey man, move on. if you spoke the truth, you did nothing wrong. don't worry about changbeer. thanks for telling us he exist.

ah come on lah.... its really simple actually.... changbeer shouldn't have answered to the questions in that manner..... it was just downright rude.... but i wanted to buy it and i was a guitar noob (i know nuts about guitars) and i really wanted to buy that guitar for some apparent reason, i woukd want the seller to answer a few questions i might have.....

but the buyer should have also spoken on the phone with the seller instead of smsing....

but bottom line, you wanna sell something, you provide your contact, you damn well answer the questions.... if not, just say see at mikemann studio and dun provide your contact.... and i do not hide behind this screen..... anyone not happy can ask me out for coffe and we discuss then.....

This guy totally no business ethics. I estimate no older than 15 years old. So much anger I sense in him.

Seriously over the past few years I've come to sell quite alot of stuffs. From guitars to iPods. I've encountered people including some from SOFT who wants a big time discount or are totally idiot at dealing and honouring a deal. For such people just ignore them. For the rest of the good folks, treat them as a fellow brother or musicians. Singapore is so small, you never know when you'd buy something from someone. :smt003

This changbeer is out to give trouble la, all my fellow headbangers out there.

To sum it all up, if you wanna sell something, you better show some good attitude. If the buyer dily-daly, wasting time - just ignore him, whats the problem? no need to use vulgarity. For all i know, what he say out of his mouth, I can return 100 times more vicious. No point. Can get better stuff elsewhere.

Anyway, he is a damn bloody stupid idiot. unless he change his nick, the whole community here is gonna give him hard time. ha ha. bloody stupid.

Steady man, all my fellow headbangers! :smt035

My whole take on this issue is...

1) never stereotype a potential customer. In this case, the belief that a customer who ask "stupid questions" on a product cant possibly be a serious buyer is a MYTH. Just ask any swee lee or yamaha staff. There are scores of blur people who knows next to nothing to an equipment yet who buys lotsa EXPENSIVE stuff. You never know who gonna dig up the dough for your items. It can be anyone.

2) Customer service is paramount in any business engagement. Do not expect people to research on a product. As a salesperson, it is your job & responsbility to give info on the product. A customer can ask a 1001 stupid things. It can be irritating yes, but thats the way things are. If you cant be bothered, dont take on the job and dont bother to do any sales.

all Mr.Chang here needs to do is chill out n have a beer. not an ordinary beer but a Carlsberg beer. cuz after that, he'll have a world of friends to try n sell that guitar to and he'll be invited back into the SOFT community.
