the course speaker said they will only take in 40 people for the course, that's why have to go through interviews.. and I alr calculated fm and ob's prices, we have to pay $60/hr for fm and $30/hr for ob... I think because ob's course hours is longer..

does fm have a course preview also? i wanna go and see

fm course preview is over, 27 feb on a Sun
which I wasn't free to attend
I attended ob preview and looks like it's rather
competitive, they are really looking for talents
to built an international squad

FM course preview:

the course preview by FM is very much friendly and close to the audience

OB as an established MNC, presented the preview as kind of a lecture with
powerpoint presentation

Agree, I felt the OB one was more realistic and presented a much clearer view of making music as a career though. Its really down to personal opinions but from what i experienced from the talk and the Funky Monkey video i just get the feeling that the one Ocean Butterflies offers would be better towards helping me build my music career? But then again I shouldn't be judging funKy Monkey based on a video hahaha

FM is a self start company with 3 talented bosses

OB is a million dollar funded company with investment from US,

besides, OB is an established label with many artistes.

in FM the chance will be higher to get into the scene, whereas OB

there'll be tough competition

idk, since ob is more established than fm, i guess my chances to become more successful would be higher? i think thats more important than being able to get into the music industry

everything boils down to talent, if you are good, even w/o attending the course
just by submitting your demos you'll get noticed

anyone attended the courses...are they good? is it worth the monies?

Re: Article: MDA-WDA-Industry Music Training Programmes in lyrics & Melody Writing an

it's tough ! playing music and writing music is two different things
Hmm...is the course beneficial to you? Looks like totally not suitable for anyone looking to career switch into music industry.

you have a point. anyway with good support from MDA no harm trying.

was checking the grant process at six degrees website, found out that another school also got MDA approved funding for 2 courses, train-the-trainer for pop music teaching and vocal production. more choices, more difficult to decide.
