 Anybody interested in a SOFT online competition?

Hmm wouldn't extending the dateline be a little unfair to people like MrRhoads? I'm not sure how many people rushed for it, but it seems a bit 'off' to bend the rules like this.

Of course, as the organiser you have the final say though.

I would love a few days extra...i might just be able to join in....as for the guys who have already submitted....well since james is the only one who has heard the songs....i guess it would not be wrong if those guys took more time to play and re submitted their songs later too?right??upto james....

Hm... "might" only?

James, we leave the "hard" decision to you...
:smt102

I'm ok with anything...

I did ask if the dateline could be extended much earlier on.. it doesn't seem fair now. Well, if 'deedeeboi' will definitely be submitting after two days i don't mind the wait.. :)

Rhoads brother....No problems man...u r right u did ask much earlier...so i guess its unfair that anyoen gets more time...so maybe i will play in the next competition...

ha..ha... dont worry, i am going to upload all the entries tonight and the voting will start.

shredder_x,
win or loose not so important.
most important is we can learn from each other.

also let other to comment & advise on your work, so that you can improve.

James, your tonight only left 2 hours...

Wah!!!
11 songs!!!

Didn't realised got so many entries (or james expect more?).
is it because of the prize?

Wondering...
hope everyboty aware of the last sentence...
"Give each Song a score. 1 being so-so. 3 being great."
As i didn't notice it when I first read it.

does this mean everyone must listen to the 11 songs are give a score of one two or three? cant just give the best song IYO?..

Don't want to disturb the voting thread,
thus I put my sugestion here...

Maybe the range of point should wider (ie. 1~10).

I agree.

By the way, is this competition based on music composition, recording techniques, music arrangement, playing techiques, etc?

I think there's one or two songs which weren't so "properly recorded", but i assume that wouldn't affect the compositional factor in the song? And if music arrangement is part of the judging criteria, midi programmers would have an upper hand?

Any thoughts?

well, just vote what score that song deserves, no need think too much.
