Appeal for boy's life

Hello all.

I understand that this is not the best place to ask for help. But everyone is really kind of desperate and it really is a life-or-death situation.

To one and all,

I am writing this urgent appeal on behalf of a very dear friend. She
has asked me to look around for help as she is running out of options
and very, very desperate.

My friend's 9 year old son was involved in a very serious accident in
Holland about 2 weeks ago and is in a coma.

Her son needs to have 5 operations as the damage to that poor boy,
whom I know very well, is extremely bad and life-threatening.

My friend has managed to raise enough money to pay for four of the
operations except for the first operation. It is unbelievable but the
hospital will not do the first operation if the money is not paid! And
due to some administrative rubbish on the hospital's end, she cannot
use some of the the money she has already paid for the other four
operations, for the first operation!!

My friend is a single mother barely managing to survive with her
current job and her son, her only child, means the life to her. In her
desperate state, she was even willing to sell herself to raise the
money but I've managed to talk her out of it. For now. I'm not sure if
I can succeed if it happens again. I can fully understand her
desperation. I'm sure you can also understand her desperation to save
her son's life.

My friend needs S$3000 more for the first operation as soon as
possible as the minutes are ticking.

I would like to appeal to you, in fact for my dear friend I am going
down on my knees to appeal to you for the S$3000 to help in saving
this 9 year old boy from dying. By doing so, you will not only save
one life but two. That of his mother too.

Please contact me at 91266734 if you need clarification.

Thank you and waiting anxiously to hear from you,

Jacob George

Jacob George,

$3000/- is not a lot of money to raise. The child is in Holland, which part? Where is your lady friend now..Singapore or Holland?

What is the channel for which the money is being channeled and to whom...your friend or the hospital?

Where are the proofs of authentication?

I have a question.

If she already has the money for the other four operations, why not just use it to pay for the first operation, and then figure out how to raise the rest?

there shert.... what wtf is wrong with the hospital man... i wouldn't mind helping if this is truely genuine......

Azlan, that wasn't there the first time I checked in.

Besides, I doubt any hospital with some level of professionalism would tell you to pay for a few operations first and then suddenly inform you that you have to undergo an ADDITIONAL one prior to them.

If this is legit, then please, I may be a cynic, but i'm not a heartless bastard. I'd be more than willing to help too.

You should go and ask for help from the media, it always works. Like the huang na mother got hundreds of thousands of dollars just cause her kid died.

Which hospital is that? Singapore's hospitals do not withhold any treatment even if the patient has no money, particularly if it is a life threatening condition. We will treat first - the payment comes later. If there's a problem with that, the Medical Social Worker (MSW) will be contacted to sort things out.

Furthermore, I don't understand how she can pay for 4 operations that's yet to be done, and so forfeit the right for the first op. You don't pay for any op until it's done - not beforehand. It's not possible to pay beforehand anyway since the cost will only be evident AFTER the operation. Anyway, the bill is usually settled during discharge. I'm confused about this situation.

If you tell me the hospital, the department and the Dr in charge, I'll see what I can do. But it doesn't sound right. Are you sure the facts are correct?

this looks dope.not be rude but honestly.it looks like one of those junk mails which u kinda often get.

The thread starter has yet to reply. Has he evaded the truth, or has he realized his folly? Either way, with things this sketchy and blur, you can forget about any action being taken.

Has anyone tried calling the person yet?

Somehow I sense that the handphone is not his. I suspect that this person just anyhow typed a 7 digit number excluding the 9.

If I wanted to hit a random number on my keyboard , my initial instinct would be to just hit any number followed by the next nearest number on the keyboard and so on.

the number 1 is next to 2 on the keyboard , 66 could be he accidentely pressed it twice and then hit 7 which is next to 6 and lastly the numbers 3 and 4 , again it's next to each other on the keyboard....

In fact all the digits in the number are all within extremely close intervals which gives rise to my suspicion.

It's just like learning "Intervals" in music :)

By AH, do you mean Alexandra Hospital? They don't have Paediatric Surgery and so cannot operate for children at that age. They will usually be transferred to NUH or KK.

yes it looks sketchy, especially the threadstarter have not replied yet. Urgent huh?

And please, there are many Singaporeans who need help, and they are close enough for us to see and touch.

hey i seriously think this is dope.think james should lock this useless thread.if its real the guy should hv posted back already.

I think the best way to find out whether this is true is simply not to speculate but to make a call on the aforementioned number.
