hi friends, good to see a healthy Squier congregation 8)

first: The Highway Strat/ Tele sport 22 frets, not 21... except for the Texas Tele model, which didn't make it here...

the Deluxe Squier Strats have been around for quite some time, if you are interested in them, they are definitely worth checking out as these are the top of the line models.

what i like about these units is that they sport modern appointments like a laminate top/ 22 frets/ 2-pt vibrato unit, which really make them very contemporary, especially the cosmetic top. generally, Fender/ Squier guitars aren't inclined towards having cosmetic tops (except for the foto-top Japanese units in the late '80s), it's a working philosophy by the company- cosmetics add very little to tone.

this 2005, there are more models added to the Deluxe range, 2 of which are depicted below. one can only hope that they would make it here...

definitely hot- mahogany body + Duncan Designed pickups...

I remember getting excited about this model when you first put its picture up. But mahogany? That makes it sound so much sweeter :D

there're lots of anticipation for this guitar not just here, virtually everywhere else. with these models, Squier is virtually stating some serious intentions when it comes to tone.
