Hmmm...

Well the few that come to mind are :

Markbass
Accugroove (cabs)
Epifani
Walter Woods
Schroeder (cabs)
Euphoric Audio

I'm more into low-medium gain amps. At the moment, I'm looking for something compact, light weight and with 2 channels. I would be interested to look at:

- Bogner Duende 1x12 combo, or
- Carr Vincent 1x12 combo

Epifani is one of the names that has come up a few times, we will seriously consider this one. Is there a particular model that strikes your fancy?

Keep your fingers crossed bro, you could be seeing one of these here in time to come.

At your service,
Blackwood.

David, dat you?

I'm happy to share my thoughts having bought, owned or have on order a number of small-builder amps.

Just pm me up for a coffee if you are keen.

The UL series looks interesting. More interested in the cabs though. Kinda of set on getting a Thunderfunk head.

Just would like to see more options for Bassists. Most of the stuff that's brought in is usually for Guitarists

+1 to accugrove and epifani!!
also genz benz (davis no longer the dealer),
bergantino (AE series cabs)

=)

Ya, would be good if you bring in Accugroove cabs. Definitely interested in purchasing one in the future, especially since they are supposed to pair really well with Thunderfunks.

hey,

this thread's pretty interesting.

we'll bring a few of each eventually and see how they sound.

so far, i've been most impressed with the engl screamer 50. it was used at the last soft gathering and sounded GREAT.

thought davis carries markbass?

bogner amps will be carried by city music by the end of the year.

yes jmguitars, coffee sounds good!

try bringing in a company's amp kits. there are plenty who do vintage style amps that will work with the wide range of pedals that you all do.
they are all handwired, pine-cabbed with good speakers. can't go wrong. try bringing in the lower powered ones and maybe one or two higher powered ones. stuff like:
Tweed Super 5F4 Kit
Tweed Deluxe Kit
Tweed Champ Kit
Blackface Vibro Champ Kit
Blackface Princeton Reverb Kit
Blackface Deluxe Reverb Kit
18 Watt 112 Combo Kit (and head)

low powered amps are great because they can be used in HDB flats and houses at reasonable volumes (5 to 15 watts) tweed watts are a different case because they crunch up pretty easily.

there are plenty of companies who do kits out there. marsh amps in particular who will provide kits and build it for you. better still is to buy the kits and work with an amp technician who will assemble the amps for you. get mike for example.
yes, i know ceriatone does kits but they have a limit in the sense that their cabs are made of plywood (grade a, but still heavier and not as resonant as pine or birch) and their limits to speakers. (they only stock celestion)
alternatively, an idea is to buy the chasis from ceriatone and get the cabinets and speakers from elsewhere (mojo supplies eg) that would be a cheaper alternative.

i own a 5e7 bandmaster replica which is all handwired and pine cabbed stocked with weber speakers and the sound is absolutely outstanding.
will be buying more tweeds in the future.

Yep looks like Davis carries Markbass. Saw it when I dropped by a couple of weeks ago. Still plenty of other brands for you to bring in though. Not much choice for us bassists here in S'pore.
