Amazing Flanger pedal!

Hi good folks,

has anyone seen this yet???

Ibanez Airplane Flanger AF2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkUfPUKilWI

I am not a fan of Paul Gilbert nor play his kind of shredding stuff but this sounds excellent! I feel the same way with flangers like him... that they are too boring and the consistent waves the flange works can only be on so many songs. Love the Takeoff mode..dunno how it works exactly though.. are there any other pedals like this?

What do you guys think? I am going to try to get this... wonders what shops should have this in singapore already..

I used my chorus with my TBD and it gave me this crazy oscillating thing that I couldn't stop until I unplugged it :(

Jskadiang> man same thing happened to me too initially too... the TBD is a beast that's very hard to tame, complicated further by the maker Devi Ever actually forgetting to reverse the knobs in certain TBD as described in the manual (meaning 7 oclock knob setting is described as strongest instead). I know because I asked her personally.

So I suggest u whip out your TBD again, set your amp volume to 1.5 first, make sure your Loop and Eye settings are turned off, patch in your chorus and it should be safe for now. tweak your chorus to your hearts content and just beware till u turn on the Loop. Good luck!

waiting for sweelee to bring in that pedal.. hope it's better priced than shipping it ourselves.. can't wait :)

in term of sound and the amount of controls, the "temporary unavailable" foxrox tzf can do quite a variety of sound as well. From pseudo leslie to chorus, vibrato and of course, the true zero flanging with polarity selection ability, which its one of its main feature. Its dynamic senstive as well, the flanging effect can be set to response to the picking dynamic on the instrument plus using expression pedal to control the sweep

heh, i think the af 2 prolly going to sell more than the foxrox one when released(overseas and locally as well, i guess)

the only reason for my hesitation in buying pedals nowadays is the resale part.. being a "branded" pedal that is well advertised and receives good feedback from consumers without complain are good key factors for resale..

There might be better pedals but unless you are not thinking about resale.. sometimes a commercialized product are categorized on the "safer side". ;)

take goose's seventheaven for example! It receives so many good comments etc, i don't think if anyone will have a problem when he/she have to part away with his/her set.. (not even gonna filtering the lowballer part :D)

So yeah.. besides, this Paul Gilbert's AF2 is pretty much something that will be historic in time to come. But i am still waiting for ADA to come up with the reissue and hopefully with paul's mod!
