Amanda Tee - Turbulence [with Strings added]

Methinks you need something less... stringy. :D

More... warmth if you will, and less of that drone-ni-ness of strings.

Otherwise, I think you have got yourself a start. It sure sounds rough and quite... stiff, but like what you said, its a first, and I think that is good. I appreciate the sparseness of the synth, something I personally hard to do.

2:55, the lead was right on the dot.

I think you can do a more surround sound kind of soundscape.... I think it will work... think ambient yet there and all around kind of soundscape.

heh, i wud like the string to be slightly louder

The usual reverb/synth/found sounds use at the right time, is opening up a sonic space for the listeners. So i say, more of those synth/soundscape stuff while retaining the acoustic side as well...

while the usual acoustic with voice has got that intimate setting, the additional of space/dimension in the background will totally make the person listening, lost in time, devoid the sense of existance etc. Definitely enhanced the listening experience.

imho

were u the one who performed at esplanade 2 weeks back? Anyway,i kinda liked your song when i first listened to it.

Wow, two wholly different views. Hahaha.

Shredcow: yea, I love the little flute riff as well. At least that one didn't go wrong. :) The multitrack program I'm using has a little problem though, and I can't use a lot of its functions (EQ, reverb etc). Think it'd sound better with. I'll play around with the panning though, see how that one goes. :D

Pathein: Glad you liked it, I thought it sort of helped with portraying the emotion of the song. :)

Shredrat: Yep, that was me! Hahaha hope you still like the song!

Of course!

One is from the guitar shred side and the other is from the knob twiddler side.
