Charangos are also fun. It's the south american uke-a-like. That shop at Roxy Square used to have one. It's the same tuning as a uke.

They tend to shred a bit more than the uke guys.

i think Lanikai LU21 series is very niceeeee. at least from pictures that i see on the net la. im hoping to check out maestro's ones like real soon. their pics on their web not so clear

They got a good selection of affordable and decent quality Ukes. Int'l shipping is available too. They can be trusted from what I read in other Uke forums.

The site above also carry alot of the hard to find Uke strings from Hawaii if that is what you prefer. Otherwise GHS is also another brand apart from D'Addario which is easier to obtain in SG.

If there are enough guys/gals interested, maybe we can do get-togethers to learn and play...afterall, a ukulele is portable enough to carry everywhere.

Hi, there are a couple of guys playing the uke at Guitar Gallery, Parklane, Seligie road. I'll be there with 2 of my ukes tomorrow around 12pm. Bring your uke if you can make it. The invitation extends to all interested. Hopefully this can become a regular uke group. Tks.

You can get Maestro Ukeleles at either the Esplanade outlet or at the Concept Store in Peninsular.

They have quite a range, and also of all sizes; soprano, concert, tenor, and even a baritone.
