Why Maestro

where in singapore, can i buy maestro ukuleles(or any cheap ones)? are there any at the peninsula area or city music?

why maestro? is it bcoz they're the only ones in sg? frankly i think their ukes are overpriced :twistedi mean the ones at peninsular -abt $400) and i'd rather pay this price for a US/Hawaii brand since that's where ukes originated.

i tried the cheap ones at maestro esplanade and GOSH.....it doesn't sound like music to my ears. why not pay a little bit more for a better sounding uke which can last u a long time? it also makes u wanna play coz it sounds better

i recently jus bought a Kala Flame Maple Tenor from Ukulele Movement in SG. The price is comparable to some online stores i searched after adding the shipping charges. mine came with a hardcase, 2 books, a tuner all for abt $420. u shld chk it out!

She's amazing! She is so tall and her weapon of choice is her tiny ukelele! haha!
I play percussion/drums, keys, guitar, glock, and her uke on some of her songs.

The Uke is LOTS of fun. Other than fun Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Israel Kamakawiwo Ole' songs, the uke has this amazing natural timbre that always calms your soul.
Always, ladies and gentlemen, ALWAYS bring a Uke when you go out on a boat.
Its the perfect instrument for a nice day out at the lake on your little dingy!

Just to introduce ourselves, we've recently set up an initiative called UKULELE MOVEMENT to raise the awarenss of the ukulele in Singapore. There is an ukulele craze in US, Europe and Japan, but nothing yet in Singapore. So we're also organising activities, events, workshops to create an ukulele community here in Singapore and hopefully around the region.

By the way, we're organising an ukulele concert, showcasing James Hill an ukulele virtuoso from Canada. The concert will be held on 29 May 2009 at DBS Auditorium at 8pm.
