Hi fellow Aging Youths,

We have just uploaded a new issue of our e-zine, our National Day special edition. This is a big issue by our standards. We've got interviews with The Observatory and Lunarin. We've got 2 mp3s to be downloaded. We've got a promo tie-in with Velvet Joint, a newly set-up jamming studio. We've got more reviews than usual.

We celebrate National Day just like the rest of the nation: bigger, louder and better (the last point is purely subjective, we must add)... on a shoe-string budget.

Oh yeah, by the way, Happy National Day.

Hi Aging Youths,

"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss" New look, same shit.

We have done up the site with a new design. Some of our friends have seen it and given us their thumbs-up which we would like to thank them for. Navigation is easier now and the site looks less cluttered. More importantly, the site can be viewed on the Safari browser now. However, we understand there are still some minor glitches. So I hope you'd bear with us a bit more while we rectify them over the week.

This issue, Aging Youth chats with 2 bands which are heavily influenced by music for the 70's. Stoned Revival shares with us what's on their plates right now while XS tells us about their love for classic rock. We look at the new Radiohead EP, 'Com Lag' and the new Sloan album, 'Action Pact' as well. How can we leave out prog-rock faves, YES out of the picture? Read our review about their new album, 'Feedback'. Beat the unemployment blues with our selection of tunes to wear those pains away...

PS: Thanks ashmore for the accolades!

Hi Aging Youths,

With issue #5, we kick off our new series, featuring a different genre of
music every issue. We look at rock music in general. Indie rock, punk
rock, cock rock, whatever... cause we believe RAWK never dies...

We have Electrico to share with us why they have "So Much More Inside" and
the little green men from Force Vomit beaming straight down upon us. We'd
feature a ballad from Ronin from their unmastered previw EP and look
closely at Fiery Furnaces' "Blueberry Boat" and Iron and Wine's "Our
Endless Numbered Days".

Drop us a note if you have any comments, feedback, etc. Leave us messages
in the comments threads as well. We are currently testing out the idea of
a forum which was suggested by several friends. Hopefully, it'd be up by
the next issue.

Hi Aging Youths,

In issue 6, Aging Youth speaks to three acts which has been inspired by such music. American Analog Set, furniture and Astreal take time to chat with us on their love for atmospheric, spaced out bliss. We drew up a list of albums we love under these 2 ill-defined genres and take a look at albums by Godspeed You Black Emperor, Aspidistra Fly, Secret Machines and Tortoise. Space rock, shoe-gazer, noise-pop, post-rock, dream pop? It does not matter. Not it ever will, in any case.

Hi Aging Youths,

It's finally up.

Sorry for the delay. With apologies to Syawla Evol, we lost certain
portions of their interview. Sorry guys, we are IT idiots and we apologise
for screwing it up.

Aging Youth Productions web-zine #8

Hi Aging Youths,

We have not been industrious of late. Sorry for the slip-ups here and there.

Anyway, this is just a reminder that issue #8 is up and running. This
issue, Ugly In The Morning and B-Quartet are featured in our interview
section. We've got our guest reviewer, Dharma from Throb and The
Observatory to look at one of his favourite toys. In addition, we look at
Nick Cave, Clinic and Megadeth's new albums.

Enjoy!

Hi Aging Youths,

Welcome to issue #9 of our web-zine.

In this goodie-bag, we have The Analog Girl and Phorous lined up against the firing squads of our interviewers and set the makers of the rockumentary about Singapore rock, "Radio Station Didn't Play My Favourite Song" up on the electric chair. We hang Interpol, the Brian Setzer Orchestra and Roland Dyens in our Reviews gallows. Noel Ong of Ugly In The Morning GASed himself accidentally while taking a closer look at the Radial Tonebone Hot British.

Y'know what they say: rock'n'roll is a life sentence.

And we will always love you,

Aging Youth Productions

PS: K. Vicious would like to mention that he heard his Velvet Underground song on the John Peel show when Sterling Morrison passed away in 1995. We are just saddened by the death of the man who played Force Vomit and The Padres on his show. Rest In Peace.

Hi Aging Youths,

We are 10! Though we are not celebrating our 10 th anniversary, we are
celebrating just our 10 th issue. So allow us to indulge ourselves, just
like we do every issue. Some of you friendly folks wrote in and ask how we
got started and how the name Aging Youth Productions came about? Read
about it in the new issue.

So, here’s what we have in this issue: Tom Waits, morphy, v3h3m3nt,
steelcityskies, My Favourite and Burning Water. Y of Lunarin tells us why
he feels really damn hot after playing the NY Tech-21 Sansamp Tri-AC.

We are waiting for your love,

Hi Aging Youths,

Goodbye, 2004. Hola, 2005!

We celebrate the festive seasons with The SunS, starting the party with their wild rock’n’roll antics. The guys from E.P.I.C join in the fun, sharing their passion for jazz and electronic music. We manage to grab Canadian indie darlings, The Arcade Fire for a quick chat before they leave for their US tour.

In Avanti!, we feature our very first best-of-2004 releases list. We’ve invited quite a few friends to share their personal favourite albums for the year 2004. Though we’ve told them that there should not be any compilations, live albums and re-issues involved, we also mention that rules are meant to be broken. Go figure!

We scrutinize Bjork, Luna, Delgados, Marc Klock Group and Dancing Nancies in our Reviews section. Daniel Sassoon takes some time off Electrico and helps us with a review of the Electro-Harmonix Micro-Synth.

This is, after all, the festive season. No sarcasm from us. At least, for this month.

Aging Youth Productions web-zine issue #12

Hi Aging Youths,

Brown is the new pink and we are feeling retro.

New year, new issue, new look, new gig.

Let us know what you think of the new look. This issue, we talk to jam band Dancing Nancies, rock pioneers Concave Scream and Birmingham indie trio The Hollow. In our CD players, Serenaide’s The Other End Of The Receiver, Elliot Smith’s post-humorous release From a Basement on the Hill, Old 97s’ Drag It Up and mizeryFree’s Listen are on constant spin.

Our resident gear reviewer, 44ofjuly returns to take a look at the Foxrox Paradox True Zero Flanger, gushing like a schoolboy about the flanging sounds. K. Vicious shares his love for post-rock pioneers, Slint and takes a look at Will Oldham’s Superwolf.

Read it at: http://www.agingyouth.com/

In addition, we are currently looking at expanding our writing team. If you are a music slut like us and drink like a fish, you are the guy (or gal) we are looking for! Due to our previous accountant embezzling our corporate funds, we are unable to provide any form of remuneration as of yet. No steady paycheck or dental coverage. But we might buy you beer!

Still lovin’ you,

Aging Youth Productions

Hi Aging Youths,

This will be a relatively quiet month in our office. That’s if we have one in the first place. Folks have asked us if we are going to hold any more gigs and events. We are still looking around and planning. Knowing how lazy we are, that actually might take quite some time. Check back with us in our Newsbuzz Section. We are updating it every Tuesday of the week. Hopefully, we will have something to report on that soon.

We feature indie rock band Leeson, music producer MUON and alt-metal act, The Chry5alids in this issue. Find out what makes them tick and what their plans are for the rest of the year.

We carefully inspect the latest Mercury Rev, Junior Boys and Stereo Superstar album. In addition, we subject Electro-Harmonix’s latest digital reverb pedal, the Hoilest Grail to scrutiny. This month’s Avanti! takes a step back from last month’s controversial topic. We take a look at the underrated Robyn Hitchcock’s past album, comparing it to his current offering.

We believe in a thing called love,

Aging Youth Productions

Hi Aging Youths,

We talk to hip-hop crew Trivalation, laptop musician 3.goddess and indie-electro act Sleeping Kings Of Iona this issue .

But what's a web-zine without reviews? This issue, K.Vicious pens his thoughts on …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead as well as Panda Bear's newest albums. And since we know that you fellas have been waiting sooo long for this issue to be out *blush*, we at AYP thought why not throw in some more? So, we arranged for Lali Puna and Black Label Society for a line up in front of our reviewers' firing squad.

Yes, you gear whores need something to last the month of April as well, right? Check out the prophecysound system (pss) black sheep fuzz at our usual gear gawk column!

And did we mention Tortoise? This issue's Avanti has K.Vicious getting teary-eyed and ga-ga like a high school over their performance at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre in March.

Read all about it at http://www.agingyouth.com. Click on the right-most dirty old man icon to access the web-zine.

Love is a wonderful thing,
