zzz. u already hate ur guitar when u havent even own it for a wk. this is reali bad. u wont enjoy playing ur guitar when u keep thinking that it is inferior. come on lah. u haf a pretty decent guitar there. wat ur hearing are comments from ppl who own gutiars that cost thousands of dollars. of course u cant compare wif ur 400+ guitar. dun reali listen to what they say. yes it may be true. bt ive used a gio guitar wif a supposedly "super lousy" bridge. bt its served its purpose.

so bottomline is. dun change ur bridge. it works fine. mayb u juz haf tpo chk the tuning frm time to time after u whammy like hell. ENJOY the guitar. make full use of it. play some damn nice music. get signed by some big music company. THEN u worry if ur bridge is able to keep its tunings or nt :lol:

this i juz wat i tink man. yes its good for u guys who have better eq of who haf tried lousier ones to give comments n reviews and stuff. bt the bad thing is someone somewhere out there who might be very happy with his guit suddenly reads ur post. it'll ruin his preception of his guitar. bt then again, its their choice to read this forum...

there's nothing too self-defeating reading reviews/ others' opinions. chances are, you'll avoid buying a lemon & suffering eternal regret if you know what to buy/ what to avoid.

however, if you like what you've acquired even if it's full of holes, then your likes are the ones that matter... 8)

Whats bad about that? What's good will be good, whats bad is bad, it is good to know such things... only then you learn. Moreover, what's good will only inspire you to play more/better... many players have shunned trems because of their bad experiences with inferior trems, which is a pity!

The Jem Jr is truely a good medium priced guitar since you got it at a sale, but its marred by the horrid ILT1 bridge. It will stay in tune as long as you don't abuse it, like do dive bombs... which is the point of having a floyd rose type trem.

Nothing the upgrade to a Gotoh or OFR wouldn't solve. Gotohs are around $250 with shipping, and you get a very very good quality floyd rose type bridge, experience stellar tuning stability, better tone and smooth trem action.

Tany here, did the upgrade, the Jem Jr became a pretty good axe then! So no reason to feel bad... in fact, its reason to look forward to something! :wink:

yup i did the upgrade i and love it much more! now it's even professionally set up and this makes me more excited!

but think of it this way, if u want to sell it, how much will u gain/lose?

do an upgrade and love it more!

Got 2 RG470 sold to a MFO member & his fren + a pinkish purplish finish RG470 fitted with Lo-TRS trem is still available @ swee lee.. poor axe.. hang there nobody wants...

Mine cracked as well & the electronics was horrendous.. I am having nightmares!! but thanks to an angmoh dude, he bought it despite the poor condition...

Did they restocked? Any new stuff? Leftovers got discount? lol

I would be glad if their sale can stretch for another day or few more days like the old times ( Which i went mid yr 2004 at SL warehouse, at least i feel there's alot more stock there )

hehe so you're the one who got it. i was planning to get it but no more stocks when i got in (12pm). i picked up a cheap 24-fret ibanez instead. aside from my lp

i get the black and white color and damn i was lucky cause it was the last one..hahaha

congrats. does it sound good? 51's have good reviews, i think they are underrated because of the price. but their owners love them. wish to get one next sale hehe

The tone of the guitar is not bad. For a $200 price tag after discount its good offer..

So sad, no one took the purple one. Could have changed the trem to a gotoh or something. I think it comes with hardcase too. MIJ, well worth the price.

if you are willing to incur further costs by replacing the TRS bridge, it might be worthy. there were other better selections during the sale but i guess some people were quicker than others 8)
