Advice on guitars for starters

If i recall correctly, the comment "Vox is more for the blues" is sarcasm.

imho, Vox is much better than Marshall if you're comparing the lower end models. Get a Vox Valvetronix ad15vt if its within your budget.

The high end Marshalls are in a class of its own, but if you're looking at solid-state hybrid amps, Marshall doesn't live up to the expectations at all. You'll be paying more because of its brand.

You missed out the good old Citymusic! Good pricing and warranty provided there. It has the Vox valvetronix series.

hey dude... why not go second hand? that way you can get a better guitar and amp for the same price? almost all my gears are second hand... started off with second hand and i think its a good way to save money. Cos if i wanna sell or upgrade, i won't lose as much and makes decisions for upgradng easier...

haha.. yea.. dun stereotype 2nd hands.. A second hand good quaility fender can beat a 1st hand midrange ibanez anytime =D Second hand good guitars may cost more than 1st hand average guitars too.. haha . Just a tip: When getting 2nd hands, inspect thoroughly!
