Hi guys
I'd appreciate any advice you could give me on this problem I'm facing with my trusty old Fender Eighty-Five transistor amp.
It's been my workhorse for a good decade now, but a couple of days ago, it's been emitting this incredibly high-pitched squeal from the moment I turn it on. Even without any guitar input plugged in, and with the volume turned down completely, it still squealed like a pre-pubescent pig on crack.
Now I apologise if this is a silly question, but I'm more of an acoustic player and only thrash out on my electrics every now and then. So is this a rectifiable problem, or do I bid adieu to old faithful here?
Thanks all.
