What really defines a sellout band? Why are bands like Good Charlotte , Simple Plan , Greeday etc considered as sellout bands?
No man. The thing is, sometimes ppl regard "selling out" as a bad thing bt for mainstream bands normally, selling-out is just plain commercialising, n therez nothing wrong with tht, itz music business. I mean they should nvr b associated with being sold-out. Howevr if a band is nt looking to cater to the masses, & it sorta sticks to one particular crowd only, & after having some huge success they go POOF! MTV! Ah..then their so-called original crowd might call em sell-outs. As u can see all views stated in this thread contributes to the meaning of a sell-out band.stars said:waitaminit ..
