I think it's better for a luthier to come up with new designs that address the problems of traditional designs instead of just sticking to designs already exist.

Traditional designs are poor, they have poor fret access and poor ergonomics. They're not made to suit the individual, so there's no point in replicating them.

A little update about what i've been working on:

Basically an extension of the normal flat-mount bridges, with piezo wiring holes predrilled to fit the graphtech ghost pickups.
