and yes, if Marshall or Peavey, or any of the products release anything to my liking, i'll definately try em.

...how will you know if you like them until you try them?

nah.....haha i love freedom of speech...... ......but the bottomline of all the discussion i've seen is basically leading to the point that the things he'll never do is entirely subjective........

duh... can u guys stop and spare me of the English lessons?

I rephrase. If they release anything that i found is to my liking after trying out, i'll definately consider em.

words kills man... scary... takes only a few secs to kena han-tam... 8O

I agree that it is very subjective since it's his thoughts.

Hmm... Maybe people thought you would say something like "I will never go on Fear Factor" or something like that... :)

I guess freedom of speech/expression is scorned by most people. Lol

ya... just because my opinion is different from majority, ppl get aggressive. :? then again. there's no point of a forum/discussion if everyone just keeps agreeing with each other?

haha LEMONed_z i think you dug too deep about the fact that people get aggressive.....and true there's no point of a forum if everyone agrees with each other....

Well, this is the root of the cause. If you don't take the time to properly say whay you mean, such as to omit the word 'again' which crucially alters the meaning of the title, is it any wonder that people get confused and irate trying to make a discussion out of it, and is it any wonder that you become frustrated that people don't understand your points?

I don't even see the point of discussion in this thread.
The guy has his personal opinions and what, are we supposed to change them?

nvm... this thread is not going as i expected. :? I was kinda expecting some discussions on alternatives to the common/popular products and hoping for replies by likeminded ppl.

LEMONed_Z this is just a suggestion i hope you don't take it as a personal attack........

i too would like some discussions on alternatives to the common/popular products in the market.........but the impression of this thread that you are giving is not the one that you intent on giving i feel........instead of posting a more direct thread like.........alternatives to gibson or epiphone guitars (just an example)........you posted things that you will never do......if you were to post a thread asking for opinions on other guitar brands........i'm sure the response would be very different from what is happening.........

just an opinion...........

yo, there's one! buried somewhere long ago with ZERO reply! honestly, if not for the title, would ppl even reply?

Ah... I see another value-for-money minded guy!!!

Hmm... All the cheap and good alternatives aren't easily available...

For example, the high-end RG/Strat/Tele/LP copies from the Samick Greg Bennett series aren't carried by Davis Guitars... It's the best budget guitar/bass brand in S'pore with a crappy dealer.

I was really hoping for those stuff to come... But no.

The IC 4 was a Super-strat with Duncan-Designed HSH-config and an alder body.

The Malibu 3 was a Strat with Duncan Designed pups and alder body, with a Wilkinson trem.

The Avion 6 and 7 could beat the ones from Epiphone, according to the reviews at Harmony Central.

Do necessary replacements, and voila! Best guitar for your money! :D

I don't see what the big hoo-ha is about. The guy is just stating his personal preferences. If I say I will never use Les Pauls in my life (which is true), will people start hounding me??

be warned... probably 8O

well no offence, but by posting here, he is subject to all kinds of comments by everyone and anyone. Just like he has the right to state his opinion on his preferences, others have the right to state their opinions about what they feel too, so, you can't really control the kind of response which you will get. but lemoned_Z, i really respect the fact that you did not flare up like some people would do, and make a huge ruckus even when SO many people were 'against' your opinions and thoughts. that's the way a forum discussion should go. if we want to voice our opinions/thoughts/ideas, then we got to be prepared for some not so nice answers as well. peace :)
