10 sounds HH Brian Moore

Here's a Brian Moore guitar installed with Suhr Doug Aldrich humbuckers. The customer left the wiring ideas to me and I suggested using a super switch with a push pull to get 10 sounds and all hum cancelling.

A plastic sheet is used to prevent the copper foil from shorting out the switch

After the wiring is completed

The entire wiring plus circuit design almost took me 2 hours. The results were worth it as most of the sounds were useable. Here's how the wiring configuration goes:

With push pull down:
1) Neck/series - Standard humbucker wiring
2) Neck/parallel - Cleaner single coil like tone
3) Neck/series parallel with Bridge/Series - similar to Les paul middle pos
4) Bridge/parallel - Cleaner single coil like tone
5) Bridge/series - Standard humbucker wiring

With push pull up:
1)Outer coils/series - Similar to a Hot tele middle position
2)Outer coils/parallel - Simiar to above with less mids and output
3)Outer coils/series parallel with inner coils/series - similar to les paul middle pos with more mids and highs
4)inner coils/parallel - Simlar to strat middle and bridge in parallel
5)Inner coils/series -Similar to above except hotter and more mids

The descriptions are approximations of the 'real deal' but this is an example of how a standard 3 sound guitar has now become ultra versatile with some thought to the wiring. 10 sounds is probably overkill for most guitar players, but the options available here are all stage worthy which is the most important consideration.

KC....this is a killer one to date in my small collection of axes.Cheers to your great effort. My appreciation.

Wow.. That is tempting.. I wanna get that done!
But it's a sad thing that my SG's compartment is incredibly small..
My push-pull pot can barely fit in..

I have plans for my SG.. Dunno if it is possible, but here it goes:
1) 10 sounds pickup combi
2) LR Baggs T-Bridge with Piezo Pickups with blender options
3) Install a Bigsby

With such a tiny compartment, I'm wondering if it is indeed possible (plus the huge orange drop capacitors already taking so much space now)..

You can't do that on an SG as you need the 5 way superswitch. Your SG is a 3 way toggle. The closest u can get to this wiring is use a rotary switch from PRS. Your pickups also need to be 4 conductor.

woah..i nv knew u could mod till u got 10 different sounds..but yeah..its really complicated but yet...still good as hell..
To be honest bro...this was KC's idea and not mine. You can say that I put my trust on this one guy when he deals with my axes with utter confidence. Thanks for tuning in.
