Did anyone else have problems following a gear delivery from Swee Lee?

Hey everyone, I decided to pick up bass so I ordered, among other things, a Squier Vintage Modified P-bass and an Ibanez 10w Bass combo amplifier. Both have arrived with issues: The middle knob on the bass is very lose compared to the other two (minor issue), but the major one here is that the Amplifier died within 30 minutes of me plugging it in. It worked fine until I plugged in a pair of earphones for the first time, which immediately caused a series of loud pops before the amp died. Now there's no light at all even with power supplied and I have a 79 dollar paperweight.

Is this a common experience for anyone else? I suspect the delivery man was chucking stuff around without due care. It's that or Swee Lee shipped me TWO defective products in the same order...
 
this one got to go back to Swee Lee with your feedback. doesnt make sense for the amp to die based on what you described.

i usually test the equipment at Swee Lee shop itself before buying and bringing home on my own.
