Oh man...having a hard time deciding on which to purchase.
I basically play post hardcore, metalcore with influences from bands like Bullet for my valentie, black veil brides, escape the fate, iron maiden...just to name a few.

I use a blackstar HT-5 combo

Tried them both at my fren's house (Orange tiny terror amp) as he owns them both but arggh i cant decide man. Anyone here with experience can do me some help here lol. thanks :D

The gain on your ht5 not enough? Triple Wreck if you ask me to choose between the two. Broader range of tones available at your fingertips but I find that the boost is too bassy.

Just as Saddie said "The Triple Wreck!!!". More versatile. It can get quite noisy, tho, when the gain is maxed out. Not sure if the new ones have that issue fixed.

What i want is portability..so yeah i wanna have the same distortion sound everywhere i go, be it on the road etc.

Still deciding! Any more inputs other than versatility?

If you like the HT-5's distortion he trip wreck will be more similar. The trip wrecks are lacking something tho, didn't really like em.

for me I'm also fortunate to try both pedals out myself. I'm quite dissapointed with the Zvex box of metal though, tried it with a marshall Microstack 15 watts, I AB it with my digitech Death Metal pedal and I actually prefered the digitech death metal pedal. The Zvex box of metal's gain ain't as high as the digitech death metal, for me I like the tone to be very rich and strong and the Zvex to me failed to deliver that.
The wampler triple wreck is a pedal that I owned, very rich sounding pedal much more than the digitech death metal. The sound of the triple wreck is much more bassy than the digitech death metal and the freq response is also very wide it covers quite a bit of trebles also.
For me I would use the wampler triple wreck to play lead sound I like my lead more towards the warm side but have some trebles too. For rhythm I like scoop settings and I feel that this pedal didn't quite work when i did a scoop setting. Well that's my opinion.
Hope this helps

Cool man...Ya i tested the BoM again and founded it lacking...
Anymore cool suggestions for the pedals similar to the ones on my thread?
Shredcow: Hey where do i get those pedals? or maybe try it or smth

for me I use the blackstar blackfire pedal for my rhythm now and wampler triple wreck for lead. blackfire pedal 1 thing I like it's very define sound with a lot of gain also. but it's more towards the warm side.
Probably in the future I'll get the toneczar openhaus or the okko dominator or both lol

sure thing but the blackstar blackfire I think u can't try anymore because no shop in singapore has that, unless u come my house lol even then u might have problem getting the pedal if you like it
