get your hands on the analog Hyper Lead or Driver Hybrid Distortion if you can man. they simply sound awesome compared to the 505 series.

I do have the 505II. Served me well during my two years of playing. Currently using Zoom Tri-Metal(AWESOME Pedal for Metal \m/) with V-amp2.

Yeap the 505 is discontinued.

yes definitely, and i want to sell it since i dont use it anymore...

i am using zoom gfx-8...

it is quite alright if you are comparing to multi-effects, single unit wise there are lots of other well-known brands that is better.... you guys know better then i do....

i own hybrid distortion, man it is awesome......cant sell it even if i have no money..... :p :p

ha.. i'm now jealous... hehe.

got time next time? maybe we could do a shootout of the 2 pedals... the seller of the Hyper Lead told me the Hybrid Distortion is way more versatile.

Which makes it extremely mind boggling - in that Hyper Lead pedal alone i can already find soo many tonal variations! :D i only use 1 setting however.

Hmm

I'm holding onto the Zoom GFX-8 now. Serve me pretty much well & I love it. I have also used the Zoom GFX-5 b4. Nice, kewl, awesome efx with built-in drum machine (something which my GFX-8 lacks). I gotta agree that the distortion is too digital liao, so most of e time, I just use the BG Drv bec I feel its much better than e rest.

Hmm

2nd hand from a dude at Luther Music Classifieds for $350, incl. Zoom pedal bag as well as the adaptor. However, the adaptor broke down soon after my competition (which is quite fortunate).

Used to own a Zoom 3000s. A cool effect. Used it for 4 yrs before starting to use GT6 n then GT8. I do agree dat the distortion is to digital. But its light, compact n hv lots of effect or soung in it.

Hmm

The new G2 or G2.1u wld be the better upgrade. Lets hope the distortion wont be too bad. Zoom's modulation, still okie except for the Wah efx, I tink it'd be beta to get a specific Wah pedal.

wats a hybrid distortion dude?

Hybrid distortion is a compromise of different type of distortion with a turn on the knob...

But i still tink the zoom tri-metal is neck on neck competitors

Yup.. The GFX707 also has weird wah effects.. :)

i own a zoom 606. took me a while to realise that actually its not that bad. You just have to learn how to tweak the settings. But the wah is horrible, anything that has to do with the expression pedal is horrible, it lacks sensitivity. Effects are not very versatile, but most of the time you wont be using so much of it so it doesnt really matter to me. The amp modeller is awesome although sometimes i get alot of those screeching feedback from the zoom 606 when i raise the gain.

Most prolly gonna upgrade to a G2 if i have the cash

Hmm.same here.. I also own the Zoom 606.. Not bad for a multi-effects.. Anyway how much will the G2 cost??
