Hi guys, many newbies face this problem when doing their frist string change. Maybe we cld all help them by saying what strings we personally use and other things like pros and cons, gauge, and so on.
Wld u guys be so kind as to follow this example:
Elixir Strings Polyweb 0.09-0.42(Brand followed by type followed by gauge)
For me, i use DR Strings Tite-Fits 0.09-0.46 Light Top Heavy Bottom. I find these strings to be very versatile tonewise, i can cover almost all genres of music with these. The heavy bottom helps add oomph to my riffs and they are really bendable too. Best of all, combined with GHS Fast-Fret, they last extremely long(Longer than Elixirs IMHO). I practice on average 20 mins a day(Yes, very short i know but i'm a student with my 'O's nxt yr, wat do u expect?) I clean them after playing and they have lasted up to 6 mths, provided i dun break them first. Not a sign of rust on them until after 6 mths. That's wat u call long life.
