Your Favourite Classical Guitar Pieces

Recuerdos de Alhambra.
Estudio brilliante

It has been 20 years of off and on trying:mad:
Some day yes some day, I will be able to play them.

I like the south american stuff more. Some favourites...

Leo Brouwer's Ojos Brujos
The Villa lobos preludes

I am more of a Bach person. Jesu, joy of man's desiring and air are two of the more popular pieces. I also like the cello suite 1 transcribed for guitar and the BWV 1006a and many others.

Sonata Romantica, IV Allegro non troppo e serioso by M. Ponce
Gran Vals (nokia waltz) by F. Tarrega
Passacaglia by Handel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRJ1NUl6Me0&feature=related
Romance De Amor
Lute Suite no 4, BWV 1006a, prelude by J.S.Bach
Recuerdos De La Alhambra by F. Tarrega
Sevilla from the Danza Espianola by Issac Albeniz
French Lulluby by D.Brandon from Christopher Parkening Guitar Method bk2
Toccata & Fugue by J.S.Bach
Cavatina arranged by J.Williams
Tango La Cumparsita

Right, baroque pieces have their own classic beauty and charm, everlasting. Really tough fingerings and techniques involved though.

BLueshire, i like Jesu joy of man's desiring ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDnHoy70f0Q )too, very touching melody. I like many Bach pieces but i'm very confused by the title of the pieces, can't really name them. Like the ear catching Prelude, Allemande, Bouree of some suites.

Thanks for the link, stringcast, nice piece, can tell you really like classical guitar music, you mentioned some of the most beloved pieces. Two more links: GRAN VALS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__hiTqdaL6c
LA CUMPARSITA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lbi5Xw09Srs

impossible duet

Wow, the cello-violin impossible duet's amazing, hmm, is it really possible to play the violin like this? Anyway, sounds very good, better than the calmer guitar version i think.
