Dissectomy

http://www.myspace.com/dissectomy

After Penang-based 'Doom-Core' Metal act Gaugepit was reduced to ashes, Dissectomy was spawned in the mid of 2003 by Daniel, Eugene and Leon and was later joined by Christopher (Throne Age, Drukigenda) on guitars. The band started out playing cover songs in their first 3 local shows and decided to progress on composing originals.

The band recorded the track Curse of the Wandering Jew sometime in February of 2005 and later recorded an EP entitled Tribulation that contains 5 tracks at the end of Dec 2005.

Dissectomy is heavily influenced by the Enchanting Melodies of Gothenburg Metal, fusing with the uncompromising Brutality of Tampa-Bay Florida Death Metal. Acts that have inspired the band are the likes of Carcass, Suffocation, At The Gates, Morbid Angel, Behemoth, Slayer, Malevolent Creation, Mandatory, Nightrage, Deicide, Dismember, Kataklysm, Marduk, Kreator, Dissection, Iron Maiden, Zyklon, Vital Remains, Decapitated, Nile, Mayhem, Impiety, Susperia, Dark Tranquility, Fragments Of Unbecoming and many other tunes of decimation.

Dissectomy is also into religious histories, fables, ancient civilizations, and touches other areas such as hatred towards religious extremities, dark thoughts and morbid annihilation of the human race.

Wanna get your hands on their latest EP? - Then U should come down and watch these guys in action !!!

Daniel – guitars/ vocals
Leon – bass/ vocals
Chris – guitars
Eugene – drums

TRUTH BE KNOWN
Truth Be Known is a melodic death metal band from Singapore. The band consists of Subash, John, Damien, Arul and Gene. John and Arul were formerly from a Singaporean death metal band called NARASIMHA together with Seelan, Vinod and Deva in 2000. In 2005, realizing a partial indifference among members with regards, NARASIMHA disbanded. A couple of months later,Arul and John wanted to regroup due to a common vision they had and to pursue their interest in music. Subash, who plays in KALIYUGA was recruited as the vocalist,Damien who plays in BHELLIOM as the other guitarist and Gene who plays in HARZARGGADAH as the drummer, and the five got back to business with regular jamming sessions. To celebrate this union, the five announced their presence by performing in gigs at local clubs. Soon the band decided to crown itself with a new official name having realized that things were going all too well. Hence, TRUTH BE KNOWN(taken from a Napalm Death song) was born. With the initiation over, TRUTH BE KNOWN wanted to come up with an album., the band took 6 months to discover themselves when they went into a soul searching period. With a new musical vision, the band undertakes this new path towards metal.

Influences: At the Gates, Slayer,Lamb of God,Kreator,Morbid Angel,Deicide,Sodom and many others.

NYMPHOLEPSY
Nympholepsy was formed in early 1999. Naxzgul, founding member and also front man of Nympholepsy, had Wan and Amy in the band. Wan on the drums and Amy on the bass guitar. Over time, Wan and Amy simply lost interest in the band due to commitment to their full-time careers and the passion for Death-metal no longer existed in their hearts. These withdrawals left Naxzgul stranded on releasing the band`s demo. Time passes but still Naxzgul could not find anyone suitable for the abandoned posts. It was not until mid-June 2002 that Naxzgul found a bassist, Shamshoor. Greatly influenced by Grindcore and Brutal Death-metal, Shamshoor had no problems delivering Naxzgul's extreme appetite.

For months, Naxzgul and Shamshoor searched for a drummer but to no avail. A year had passed, the search and determination in both Naxzgul and Shamshoor were slowly fading away. Then, sometime in early October 2003, Naxzgul met Ibrahim, drummer and the founder of Virulency. Naxzgul offered Ibrahim to purgatorize for Nympholepsy but Ibrahim was not convinced by Naxzgul`s proposal. Naxzgul decided to have a jamming session with Ibrahim and with that single session, was enough to draw Ibrahim to acquiesce with Naxzgul's morbid visions. So the gathering was finalized. Naxzgul on guitars and vocals, Shamshoor on bass and Ibrahim on drums.

It did not take long for Naxzgul and Nympholepsy to come up with ideas and structures for their first promo/demo. After 3 months of intensive jamming, Nympholepsy was ready for action. A promo/demo with two tracks was officially recorded on 22nd May 2004. Two tracks titled Psycho`s Dream and Sophisticated Rage were recorded for Beyond Comprehension. The first 60 limited copies of CDs were officially released on September 6, 2004.

But, Naxzgul felt that something was still missing. He needed another guitarist to effectuate the consolidation of brutality. Sometime in late November 2004, he convinced Ahmad, guitarist of Virulency, to collaborate with Nympholepsy. At last, Nympholepsy was complete.

Nympholepsy performed with a full line-up on December 18, 2004 at Beat Merchants in front of a small but energetic audience with bands such as Flesh Disgorged, Septikaemia and CFC.

Soon after, Nympholepsy headlined and ripped through their set at Zombie Rock Bar for the Extreme Terror gig alongside Chrysalids, Sil-Khannaz, Impiety and others on January 8, 2005.

Currently, Nympholepsy is working on material for a full-length album. Expect more crushing riffs and devastating drumworks from them soon!

Monstrosity, Death, Cryptopsy, Suffocation

XTREME DEATH METAL!

can i suggest bring back the old bands??? for eg, zeotz, axed minister, STEEL DAMAGE, embattled, spellbound, SPC etc etc etc etc etc....

we could use some heavy, power and THRASH metal. i realised alot of brutal death had been played in the recent gigs... maybe a change of genre might interest more people.

Yeah, that will be a great idea.

I'll try to include at least 1 of the thrash metal band ok.

Out of the above mentioned thrash bands, which would u guys pefer to watch?

alamak... why one only? anyway the bands i mentioned, not all thrash metal what.. i suggest u bring in those bands who play power metal, heavy metal and thrash metal. organising a gig with only death/brutal death is kinda boring.

bring back the gigs like last year. like during gods of metal, monsters of rock and tribute to maiden. i've not been seeing those band in action for a long time. thanks anyway. :)

im sure not everyone wants to see brutal death for the WHOLE gig... it does get really boring.

BRING BACK THE OLD BANDS!!!!

Yeah, I miss the old times too

Will try my very best to make this gig a happening one once more!

But I'll need the support from U guys.

The poster n flyers will be out real soon

Will keep u guys updated
