Xin Qing Rong Ji the 9th National Chinese Song Writing Competition is open for applications! This annual event has helped to discover, encourage and nurture countless talented songwriters, many who have gone on to make their mark in both the local and international music arenas. Join the ranks of past contestants such as Xiao Jia Fa, whose music was used by Andy Lau in his album.

Details of the event are as follows:

Application open : 1st October 2006
Application close : 20th December 2006
Grand Final : 27th January 2007
Venue of Final : NUS University Cultural Centre Hall

Our theme for this year is &斐垀郗晟ㄛTry堤陔赻扂*. So, whether you*ve dabbled in song-writing for some time, or are simply interested in giving it a shot, don*t hesitate to or grab this golden opportunity and show us what you can do!

gsonique, you refering to me? hey, i really mean it. coz i am on windows98 and have problem seeing some chinese text.

the reason why i am asking is because i want to make sure it is not the poster's err and result in everyone's inability to see the chinese text. :cry:

Sorry for the confusion. the chinese text that don't seem to make sense could be due to the fact that the forum doesnt support chinese character.
the translated theme is "Unleash your talent, Let your dreams soar."

And Yes, we are continuing our collaboration with the Ark Cafe. as such, we will be inviting them to our Grand Final again this year as our Guest Performers.
