bass must be in good condition.no dead frets or bad electronics.
looking for something light.
budget minded so maybe something a little below mid range price to beginner basses

easy..no need to pay...
get big shoe box , reinforce side and stick an old broomstick to it..use 2mm string/tali and tie one end to end / edge of box and the other to the end of the broomstick.
voila..you now have a good and cheap bass. good luck
On a side note, ive got a pbass, tone pot not working(send to tymcto repair?), strings need to change, if u want, it is 70 bucks , cck, brand is silvertone, color fiesta red, fretboard is rosewood
