Im interested in getting a cheap interface for very basic recording work. Just two channels or so will do. Hoping to get one around 100 or so. Need it pretty urgently so I hope you guys can get to me soon!
TIP : If you wish to have decent results with playback or recording , $100 Interface/ External Sound card can't do much for your results... Plus cheap stuff may have drivers/ software bugs... spent a little more to get something better... good AUDIO results is what we all want IN MUSIC......... Regards .
I agree with what you said but I'll only be using this interface for recording down a couple of ideas/drafts/quick demos therefore I dont really need superb quality! As long as everything recorded is clear enough to be heard!
If it's demo and quality is really not important, you don't even need $100. Use your existing soundcard, almost all will have a 3.5mm input. If not even a low end Line 6 UX1 (one XLR and one 1/4") costs a bit more than $100 secondhand.
I'm actually looking at the CI1 or Audiogram 3 from Yamaha. Read reviews online and they sound pretty good for its price. I have a friend who owns the UX2 and its pretty decent. Hoping to get something different cause I can borrow the UX2 from him but it's not very nice if I keep bugging him. Hahaha.
