Some strange coincidences that both Roy and Danny shared;
Both Roy Buchanan and Danny Gatton earned the reputation as "Best Unknown Guitarist" by many of their peers especially among the guitar player readers around the world.
Apparently it was Roy Buchanan who introduced the Telecaster's magic to Danny Gatton.
The other strange and very sad fate that both uncompromising players share is suicide.

Hmm.
^^ indeed, I would say that the telecaster really makes you work out your technique, compared to "easy" guitars such as Strats or Les Pauls.
Hence my personal guitar mantra: Shit in = shit out.
I personally believe it really isn't your gear that makes you what you are on the guitar, but rather your fingers which work the magic.
