"i hit things, me tarzan u janeeeeeee (drool, drool)"

" yess tht is a beast between my legs"

and many more. oh yessss

Mel, plains, rd, killerb and perishz....what do you guys think for the workshop? Kindly drop Mark a review!!

Also, the workshop's still running k...so sign up for those who missed it this week!!

Amazing stuff learned at the workshop. It opened my eyes to some of the grooves that I never really understood when I hear funk drummers play.

Seriously good handouts given too. Although only 6 pages, but it has enough stuff for me to work on for the coming months or even years to come! I'm not exaggerating. I'm sure the others who attended the workshop can attest to that.

Two thumbs up for Mark 'the zigaboo' Chan! :D

So many things learned! The handouts! OMG! I think can last me many months (okay, initially I said two years to Alvin, haha!) to practice them.

I also like how Mark printed out the history/stories of the different drummers as well. One thing to learn the technical side of things, the other to learn the history and how each of them came about as well.

VERY GOOD!

Here's another 2 thumbs!

yeah... POWER to da man!!!1 \m/

just a quick recap... mark basically managed to cover clearly (if only briefly) all the major shuffles... the chicago shuffle, the swing shuffle, double shuffle, variations including double shuffles wif cheese, ghosted, half-time ... man.... *shuffled* XO

also, some intriguing new orleans stuff, bion clave, funk exercises, the garibaldi accented exercise *phew* so many more... can't name 'em all.... yeah enough stuff to practice for years i reckon...

guys, don't miss this and grab the guy before he goes off again for months... !!!!

his parting words.... "don't just play the exercises, make sure u play along to the actual music ... else it sounds just mechanical"

Yes Great Workshop and great handouts we received...just as Plainsman mentioned as above. Mark make us feel really very comfortable.

Still remember when he says "I've to make sure you all understand what I've just show you all" at the start of the workshop (I ask myself - how does he make sure lah kekekeke  )... then - 1st Mel went up to play, then me then Alfie.....it was really fun learning altogether ..I really enjoy & love it man !.... PEOPLE !...Must go.oooooooooo ah..it's really great.

PS: - Hehehehe killerbee - you think I dunno meh - - you say Mark can drum very well, but you neber say - - (Mark Chan also bery good looking here right? - I can read you my dear sis) ..Whahahahaha - -- yalah he is still un-attached - must share share mah with other cha-bo drummer here ! :smt005 :smt005

Kwa kwa!

RD, you know me well indeed. :smt043

Well, well. Good drummers are all sexy to me! Although Mark mentioned that he seldom plays New Orleans stuff, when he showed me the grooves, I was like "Whoa, so Stanton Moore!!!" :smt041

But seriously, when Mark asked me to play, I was like quite stressed. Sweat all dripping down my forehead because I have no swing (just yet!). Gasp gasp. :smt095

great workshop! well i had a one-on-one workshop with him due to 'unforseen' circumstances.. 8O

All the explanation about the different shuffles definitely is gonna be something that stays in the mind. pretty amazing swing Mark does!

the funk stuff were also fun. Gabardi accents were Whoa.
