Dunno if anyone knew this....

Back in 1987 when Singapore had it's first street party - Singapore Swing in Orchard Road and Radio broadcasted the non-stop dance music live from Orchard Road for many hours. Somewhere in the middle of the night, I heard some punk grabbed the mic from the DJ and shouted "Chee By". The radio went dead for a few seconds and continued playing afterwards. Still remember taking about it the next day in school.

Reminds of an incident.......Victor and Charlie, "Live" kids talk/game show on radio

Victor: (asking a 10 years old boy a quiz)
Boy: (replied)
Charlie: Ohh nooo.....you got it wrong!
Victor: The correct answer is (.......). Never mind, try again next time.
Boy: CHEEE BYEEE!!!
(A sudden eerie pause for a few seconds)
Victor: Errr.....naughty naughty. Ok, let's move on to the next........

nah..the story goes victor asked the kid "whats the opposite of cock", thinking the kid would say "hen"...then the kid straight away answered CHEEBYE.

think i read an interview saying it never actually happened though.
