At first, i was amazed when McDonalds accept payment by Ezlink.

Then, i was amazed when 7 Eleven accepts payment by Ezlink.

And Then, i was amazed when you can top up your Ezlink at 7 Eleven.

And Then, And Then, i was amazed that some primary schools canteen accepts payment by Ezlink.

And Then, And Then, And Then, the Ezlink acts as a dual card. (Cashcard)

From then on, top up transactions can be made at POSB ATM machines.

Then it took another step further, even Taxis (SMRT) accept payment by Ezlink.

What do you think of this progress?
And so, what's next?

Boon nonsense.

Maybe a micro Ez link as a Sim card or an implanted ezlink into any body parts O_O

I can't think of anymore..
LOL

this is quite bad. the children will go "ma! ezlink finish! need to top up! if not cannot ride bus!*or buy mcdonald. hehhehe*"

The EZ link card system first appeared in Hong Kong many years ago, in 1997, Octopus, the world's pioneer contactless smartcard. Today the system can do plenty of things including paying my parking fees and marking school attendance everyday (late by one minute also no excuse need to go detention...)

The EZ link card in Singapore is improving, but it might take a long time to catch up. I have two Octopus cards, one is embedded in my watch, other is roughly the size of a pick, mounted on a keychain, and here is a picture of it with my ESP pick!

wow embedded in a watch! i wouldnt be surprised when sometime in the future, the whole world will have a standard smart card embedded in people's bodies when they're born. everything scan ur card in someway. huahaha

Wh-what?

SMRT cabs accept payment by Ezlink card?!?!

Geez, I really should keep up with the times.

I say they should come up with concessions for cabs! The same as how they have for bus/train rides. Heh.

Japan wins, their ez-link cards are in their handphones iirc.

and by the time we're done implanting all sorts chips into our bodies, the Japanese would probably already have finished building their giant robots to take over the world.

yup
SMRT taxis are equipped with EZlink card facilities...those with plates bearing SHC XXXX...for the toyota crown model...

my cab is fitted with one...any Softie if keen can try hehehehe
