Will Zoom R16 work with Protool 8 LE?

Hi I am using Pro tools 8 LE. I plan to buy Zoom R16 but I am not sure if it can work because I read that Protools LE only work with audio interface such as Mbox,etc.

Help anyone?

No. Only work with Digidesign product.

the person is using the virtual midi cable/routing software(midi ox and midi yoke) to let the r16 talk to protool.

as mentioned, out of the box, the r16 is not talking the correct midi message to protool, thus not able to be mapped to/control the parameters inside protool

Thanks for the explanation. If I cant use the r16 for my protools, what should I get then? I need atleast 8 inputs.

if you're getting an R16 just as a controller, you might as well get something else that's purely as a controller without installing too many 3rd party crap. unless your controller costs more than R16.
