fgl, heard your interview on power98 just now. hee..hee.. got mistake huh?

"PowerJam was the launch pad for bands like ......"

ha..ha....haaa

err...James... werent those bands in powerjam? 8O

how didcha like Dan's Singapore by Night? hee hee...

fgl, all except the first one "Electrico".

ya, Dan's song is quite cool. he played the flute? smooth.

actually, when i first heard it, i kinda feel that there were too many "Singapore" but then i think, there are alot of songs with "America", "California", "New York", ...

ok - electrico blooper- sorry...

Yes we do love jammin songs on accoustic /ethnic instruments. Mani wanted to play sitar for that song but we all preffered Tabla wt bongos (Geri played em) as compared to sitar, as we already had the flute bits by Dan.

When we play it in the finals of course, it will be a difirent arrangement. Very diffirent. Singapore by night was actually one of the songs that was included in Sing Singapore songbook many years back. Powerjam has made it sort of a resurrection of the tune for Dan. It basically reflects the feeling he and the rest of us in RG have about life in SG.

Having travelled widely over the years, I really do echo his sentiments.

As & when we do our album, the central theme would be about life in SG, from diffirent angles and themes...

What happened to the judges? It's abit weird that IV won. (Congrats to them though! powerlah pio! turon fourtones ok soon....HEHE...aku nak skateboard baru...LOL)

I feel that the judges didnt do a good job. I know it's hard to pick out a winner among 5 really awesome bands, but that's not an excuse.

Let's say, if all the bands scored perfect scores for musicianship and song arrangement, but 1 band made an effort to dress up for the occasion, then that 1 band should win.

Seems as though the judges were blindfolded or something. I mean come on, Now Open and Allura was bottom 2?

This might probably piss off tons of people, but IMHO.....

No surprise that only the supporters clapped when the "champs" won and half of the crowd left when it was their encore. Competition no doubt, but lets not forget the "champs" are gonna represent singapore in WBOB.
