Who in singapore can I approach for fret scalloping?

As above, I tried the yngwie strat before, and after a ton of thinking, I kinda realize that the scalloped frets suit my way of playing fast pretty well, the 'touch n' go' thing where I hit it just lightly enough for the notes to ring out.

I will probably get it done somewhere before next year. My first extreme modification on any guitar.

i recall there's this guy doing fret scalloping also. he's a student if i'm not wrong and he's from soft. i can't remember his name nor his website. but his works looks good.

guitar connection does scalloping. different pricing for rosewood and maple fretboards.

on a side note, there used to be this guy called dean who was working at guitar workshop previously. his scalloping skills are top notch.

ive seen some pretty kickass scalloping done by guitar connection :)

Have you seen the Richie Blackmore signature Fender strat? It has some VERY nice scalloping that's really practical - shaves off what is needed only. Check it out.

You can achieve the same vibe with super jumbo frets though. Look at the way you fret... do your fingers actually touch the fretboard? Unlikely on the bass strings, maybe on the thinner strings but that depends on the technique/style you fret.

Alright, I better start saving. This is gonna cost me :(. Should be around the range of 300-400 bucks right? Guitar that's gonna get it's frets scalloped is a Jackson WRMG. Haha damn things really change. I used to really want to FEEL the fretboard. Now I just wanna feel air and strings.

Yet thats the extra painful part, I know they'll charge extra cus the need to strip the binding before they scallop apparently.

my friend owns a blackmore strat. only the 1st to probably 4th string is scalloped. very very different feel as compared to a fully scalloped guitar neck. well, I cant play scallop necks for nuts though.

why not search the 2nd hand guitar ads? you could bump into a guitar that already has a scalloped neck. from there you can decide whether scallop is the way to go or not.
