i see- you're refering to copies, i was wondering which original LP goes for a sub-$1K tag.

the PRS SE Singlecut is not an LP copy per se. it's IMO a much more useful guitar for moments of clarity. the weight is also much more manageable.

Bro, have you tried to compare prs soapbar II and schechter with P90 (being sold Guitar 77)?

the Schecter you are refering to is the C1 Special

i prefer the PRS SE version as the default p-90s are more appealing tone-wise. playability-wise, both guitars are comparable. the schecters C-1 models are better-sounding with humbuckers IMO.

sub, how does the I-21 Brian Moore at Davis, fair amongst the other single cut-aways mentioned? the BM headstock does give its own 'look'. similar pricing.

Mr. Paul sir 8) this one is IMO a singlecut version of the i8I which i've tried. the neck is kinda wider for this one, then again it might be marginal to some of us.

tone-wise, more polished midrange from this baby- covered pickups. does it manifest a Les Paul tone? not quite.

cheers to that - single cutaway with its own midrange specialty. definitely an option to those into this tonal offer and the mahogany LP style body cut.

just my opinion, the mik tokai one in davis i tried sometime ago was nothing near to what i expected after hearing so many good comments about it.

the Tokai ALC models are good. the general expectations for it is that it should match a average Les Paul, which will make it a shadow of what it's supposed to be. if you plug it into a minute practice amp in the stores, you should at least give it another audition.
