I doubt your trem is an OFR. Its probably a licensed Floyd Rose.

Your issue is with the action, is can most definately be cured, unless there are greater issues with it.

Bring it to a reliable tech and he will do it for you. Ask to watch so you can learn. Thats the best way.

I cannot find the website you mention? Is Gotoh tremolo available in Spore? How much did you pay for it?
