At the risk of folks accusing me of being a "deal clincher" :(

Here's one of the the best "Tele" you can get IMHO :D

I personally don't dig the 7.25" radius and 21 skinny frets of the Jap Fenders.

You deal clincher!!!!!

lovely guitar that one.... but malcolm...

sometimes its the LOOKS that matters most, who cares how it sounds...

The latest Korean Reverend Hollowbody are very very tastefully done.

Malcolm, don't ever take those people who called you a "deal-clincher" seriously... Never let them put you down, ok? :)

According to my research, authorized dealers are more beneficial to the market than resellers/2nd-hand dealers (too traditional and easy)

Yeah, Fender Japan guitars have that vintage approach, most if not all of them are made after a particular year/era... Hence the thin frets... Some ppl like them as they are vintage replicas... Some don't.

whoa malc. is that guitar still up for grabs?? i might be in the market for it... if my efforts to salvage my SG fail miserably.

What kinda customizing are you thinking of? e-mail me at empty71 at hotmail dot com to discuss. You might wanna visit my website and read about my repair philosophy.

Some people think I'm not flexible enough but I would like to call it integrity :D I'm into repair and restoration and not major modifications. There're others who'll be more than happy to do those kinda work

i'm a big fan of the Highway1 Series (American) because it's a no frills, good guitar. there's is a cult following of this tele in the US, unlike the Strat H1. many people cite the ashtray bridge & satin finish as crucial elements in making the tele sound very impressive.
