hey fellow softies,

need some help over here,i would like to get a bridge pup for my strat.
Sounds that i like are songs from guns and roses, audioslave, sek loso (thai rockstar,if you know who he is)

Some options that i have in mind is Dimarzio's Chopper ,heavy blues2, Hs3.
I dont know which is better or any other pups to intro?

Currently im using a vox pathfinder 15r with tech 21 sans amp gt2,
anyway the sound alittle too thin and soft with the pedal,
so im thinking of getting a booster or anything you can recommend to go along with too.

Please help me out, really appreciate it alot.
Thanks for reading.

Best regards,
Fh

you can also consider super distortion which i m using on my tele. the chopper is well balanced too. not sure about the other two.

hey fhloso,

you might wanna check out seymour ducan pups too. I have a lil 59 for strat (SL59) in the bridge and in my opinion its real good.

However, u may wanna use the 2nd tone knob to control the tone of the bridge pup only. The highs of the pup can get pretty bad when playing clean.

Hope that helps.

Instead of swapping pickups, an alternative would be to get a booster before your GT2 to saturate your tone. I've had good experiences boosting the GT2 with a tubescreamer.

Also, do check the settings of your entire setup if the highs are too much which results in the "thin" sound. Having owned your GT2 before, you must control the highs very carefully. Its on the treble side.

You might want to let us know what guitar you are using (exact model) and what are the stock pups.

My personal opinion is that the amplifier plays a bigger part than the pickups.

Giving us info like your guitar, amp pedals and etc will help.

I'd go for a single coil humbucker in your case..
