Don't Blackwood guitars have Mesa amps too? I think they're secondhand though.

hmmm... the mattsmusic doesn't ship to SG... Wildwood I'm not sure... The wildwood doesn't have the single rectifier which I want anyway... I don't really trust ebay when getting expensive stuff... and blackwood stuff is second hand lol... plus bentley does jack up prices like mad according to some price quotes in another thread lol.
I bought a mesa from ebay last week and it's still on hold for the shipping.
Hope the seller ship it today. So afraid that I will get scam. First time buying from ebay btw.

3 chn Triple Recto. I won the bid for USD$1325 for both mesa head n 4x12 cab. but the shipping for both is totally insane. around USD$1200+ (around 70kg). So i requested for the head only for USD$950 and shipping USD$406 by UPS. everything is around SGD2k for the head only. Imagine i ship the cab too. My God. :???:

If it's cheap, everyone can get one too Anyway, It's pretty hard to find a 2nd hand single rectifier. Players go for dual or triple recto. If you wan to invest in it, invest more in a better one. No point going for single recto when u can afford few hundred more just to buy the dual or triple. They all weigh almost the same so shipping wise will be the same. I let you do the math.

The price was quoted by UPS which includes insurance. I don know if vPost provide Insurance. Even if i use vPost, the price of shipping from the seller to vPOSTUSA + vPOST sending me to me will add up almost the same.

The reason why I want to get a single recto is cos i got a carvin nomad 50W combo which I plan to use as a cab lol, importing a mesa cab as well is... gonna make me go broke

oh i see. cool. Any idea how to make the combo into a cab? Which cab u planning to get? Im getting the Blackstar Artisan 2x12 cab this or next week from woodworkz. No money for mesa cab already

That's how you do it, though mine already has a speaker cable attached to the "head" part of the combo, so I'm thinking plugging that into another amp should work lol.
What's the diff between the 3 rectifiers by the way? Is it just the silicon diodes or something like that?
There's no amps on the ebay site lol... nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... ...
