Where to get electric guitar courses...

could anyone tell me where to learn guitar in a short period... i tried asking yamaha, city music n ETC and its all damn long course yet am finding session like 3 times a week... the more session the merrier...

Yeah... You wouldn't even have the time to practice on what you've learnt, unless you do it 24/7 :lol:

Go climb Lim Chu Kang hill, with your guitar backpack and 2 dozen packs of strings.

Near the top, round the bend there is a hole hidden by the bushes. Climb into the hole and call "Guitar shred master!!!" 3 times, a guitar guru will appear and accept you as his disciple.

In one month, when you finish your training in the mountain. You will decsend back to real world and be a puglistic master of guitar playing.

Hahaha, believe me June, you don't need THAT much lessons at this stage. Once a week is more than enough, other than that its just self-learning and practice at this stage.

once a week is enough to kill you. trust me. if u get "proper" lessons that is.

unless u go to those people and they teach u 3 basic chords for 1 hour. yeah that one prolly 7 days a week i also can handle.

wats the point of getting so much lessons if u dun have time to practice? the fruit of it all comes frm the teacher teaching the the student goes home n practice. it isnt mass lecture style which u can just absorb everything n apply.

The only certs i've heard of so far are for classical guitar playing.

I kinda agree with that. After all, you'll be wanting to practice what you've learnt, and spend the rest of the week honing the new found skills/techniques to perfection before going back to the teacher for more. Too many lessons might cause you to start lagging behind and stress inducing. But different people have different practice styles so, start with once a week first, if you can cope, increase as required.
