Where to get a midi-to-PC cable?

Hey need a midi-to-PC cable. can't seem to find it ANYWHERE. that is unless ur gonna spend hundreds on some expensive soundcard.. like the creative platinum pro or sth... madness.. anyone know where to get it?

sim lim square - 3rd flr. there's a shop there that sells alot of audio cables. and only audio and pc cables too. can't remember the shop name tho. sorry. i got mine there. cheers

MIDI - PC cables

I've seen them selling at a few shops in Sim Lim, go to those cables shop and you can find them at about $30 compared to MIDI-USB which is at least $85.

The cable PC termination is to a game port, you need to have a sound card with game port to use it.

sound card with a game port.. isn't that gonna add up to quite a lot of $$. anyway, yamaha madly sells a midi-usb at $$135!! ripoff man. luthermusic is said to be doing customised cables.. wonder how much they can fix one.

that depends on your PC, some comes with a game port/sound card or you can get one used card (go Hardwarezone).

For myself I hv two old ISA sound cards and one PCI sound card, which I use for my PCs.

another option is get serial port-host or parallel port-host cable, but this option seems hard to find.

if no sound card in PC, then the best option maybe the MIDI-USB cable.
