Hi folks, I've done a Search here and at Google and don't want to spend the rest of the day hunting for a video tutorial on using a metronome. Will a kind soul save me the huge trouble and provide a link for such a tutorial?
Thanks in advance.

metronome

What exactly do you want to know? As in setting up a metronome? Or do you want to know what the different indicators mean? What do you want to use the metronome for? Are you working on strumming patterns? or do you want to use it for practicing scales on your electric guitar? I've never done a search myself but i don't think u'll be able to find one. I'll be happy to help you answer some of your questions you may have on it. Let me know if u need help!thanks!

My playing sucks - timing is a major factor - need to tighten my playing. I figured that a metronome will do me lots of good.
I need to know how to use one and of course setting it up etc. Like I said, a search turned up too many hits and I've been busting my ass clicking away only to find either useless stuff or a downloadable metronome. The latter is good, but without knowing how to use it, all becomes rather useless.
Thanks.

RoRk, it would be good to read up on a little music theory, try Time Signatures - that would help you understand the divisions of time in music.

E.g. What's 4/4? Eighth notes? Dotted Rhythm? Etc etc

I think that would effectively help you understand what the clicking of a metronome means. :D

Hi Daniel, yup that sounds good - any links? I know too little in that area. But I still need a metronome and to work with one ASAP. The theory bit sounds good but knowing myself, I need to put the theory into practice and that's why the metronome is required.
Cheers

Don't have any websites @ the moment but I suppose it would be easy to find... I hope.

In your case, the theory would be very very useful to immediately understand the going-on-s... its quite an easy concept to grasp but like you said, need to practice using it.
