i need the lightest one. cause i love rocking onstage and its kinda irritating to be jumping and moving around with a heavy guitars.

so guys help me out.

Check out Reverend guitars. They're hollow bodied guitars without the problems associated with your typoical hollow bodies :)

Imo dude. If you wanna jump around onstage, and start whining about guitar weight, don't jump.

I know many players who jump around on les pauls. whats your case? Or are you just simply a weakling?

Be a man. Do the right thing.

I have something against guitars without headstocks.. It just doesn't seem, well, right.

hahahahhhahhha!

i've seen a photo of Van Halen using the Steinberger. its during the OU812 album period when Sammy Hagar was in the band. it was "striped painted" like his Kramer! hehehehhhehe...

Buy a plywood flying V . Scoop out all the excess wood from the chamber, sand down the neck and headstock, scallop the frets to get rid of unwanted wood/weight. There. Your jumping around axe is complete. Then get a life.

Seriously speaking khai,

Guitars are meant to have mass. They've got weight, sure. But people still jump around with heavy guitars. I've seen it so many times. Also, a light body, for below 700, your tone will really suck. You're making music or do you enjoy just jumping around? Rock ain't about jumping around man. Think about it. You could do alot of good with that budget of yours.

i have an epiphone G400.
body's light, neck is heavier. but when u strap it on and use ur hands on the neck. all ur shoulder is supporting is only the body weight.
nevertheless u can jump on stage

i will also recommend the ibanez SA series. it's light weight.
i think the lightest guitar i've tried so far is the S series.

i think you have to get use to the standard guitar weight, like those RGs, jacksons etc etc. Lespaul is heavy and bulky man. I personally dun like to do stuns with that.

Zakk wylde is too strong for a lespaul, look at his muscles, built for the kill. :)

asd

BLACKMOO...

i'm simply looking for a lightweight guitar.
i'm not whining.
i love to jump around. instead of standing like a pole.
i mean i'm an energetic human MANNNNNN.

i might considering LP although it heavy, ok then
where cani find a damn good strap?
cause i wont be liking it when i jumpa round and my LP
fell i might cry on stage OMG. ok thats a big phobia.

I still dont get it. If any1 can jump with any guitar, im sure u'v seen countless shows, punk/metal/emo/screamo whatevr shit, i'v nvr heard of "light guitars". U can jump ard with any guitar, just practice. If tht doesnt help, start going to the gym man. Evn skinny guys like herman lee & sam totman can jump like 5 feet off the ground with their ibanez & jackson guitars.

Try the Samick Greg Bennett CA2, it is selling at Davis for $400. Change the pups to Seymour Duncans or Dimarzios if you don't like them. Here's a pic of the guitar:

It's like a SG guitar, but more radical. Paint the red tips on the horns black, and you have a nice guitar.

Hope this helps

Once you get use to the weight i believe its no problem jumping around. Problem is, which model are you more comfortable with?

You can jump around with a strat, but you feel uncomfortable the way you place your hand or the shape of the guitar maybe, depending on your body build. Or, you can try with a lespaul, and feel comfortable jumping ard with it. Its not the weight i suppose, its how "song" u can adapt and play with the guitar.

=D I still love my lespaul. and i'm planning to jump with it lol.

wah... jumping... i think i move abit more.. i play off timing liaoz...

need to work on it....
i think i'll start with head banging and playing barre chords first...

by next year.. i'll be moonwalking and sweeping with my guitar behind my neck.

muahahahah
