What Lubricant do you use for blade of tremolo?

There's this silver stick of lubricant you can buy @ homefix. Its about 6 bucks for 1. Its nice though you gotta be careful how you apply it. Doesn't last very long maybe... 2 wks?

Anyway, lubricated knife edges do feel better, smoother, and the return to pitch seems more... assured (like there's a need to further assure :P ) That said, its not a required thing, I've played my Ibanez for 3 years without lubricating the knife edges, and it has served me fine.

Walk pass this pen a few times, thought of trying...
Would this work :?:

It would... but it prob wouldn't stay on...

of course, using something like grease would last longer but it would collect dust/dirt and get messy.

Shreadcow: just a minute amt of grease mixed wt 3-4 drops WD 40. Mix well and apply by ear buds - will last aprox 9mth-1 yr w/o corrosion.... shudnt collect too much dust

Unsane, yeap, chapstick is frequently recommended, but I can't find it yet.

hahaa because theres hardly any use for chapstick in singapore...i got mine from my mom actually, god knows where she got it.

can't find chapstick?

I would go with pencil. WD-40 is oil based and it will attract dirt and some other gunk. The same goes for chapstick and vaseline. Pencil or rather graphite is the best.
