Not sure if this is the right place. I've used cakewalk, cool edit pro 2, pro tools le 7. So far my fav is protools as the editing is quite easy. but not much plugins available.
Your question is asked wrongly. DAW refers to Digital Audio Workstation - ie it includes the HARDWARE (PC/Mac, audio interface, midi interface etc).
Perhaps you meant audio editing and/or sequencing software. I believe there's a post sometime in the distant past in the form of a poll to see how many people uses which software.
Protools is best for me and sofyan, there are LOTS of plug-ins and imo they are the best around. Also, if you wanna use vst plug ins just go get the FXpansion VST to RTAS bridge.
I still feel Nuendo beats all in term of DAW. simply love the audio engine on the software. Steinberg Steinberg Steinberg....... still saving up to upgrade Nuendo 3.
